My name is Akashdeep Khanikor and I am a fourth year at University of Cincinnati studying Physics and Economics;currently working under professor Dr. Connor Henderson on the standard model and physics beyond it. My interests in the subject are broad; however recently I have been heavily involved in experimental elementary particle physics looking specifically at decay limits of mesons. I am also committed to a more cross disciplinary approach to science, I am part of the Next Innovation Scholars Program at UC, where I am involved in design innovation and problem solving across a plethora of challenges and scales. Scientific outreach is also something I am deeply passionate about; I am co-founder of the student run newsletter 'redacted'; I serve as a resident advisor on campus and as a treasurer for the Society of Physics Students. Currently I am trying to grow as a physicist and set myself up for success as a graduate student. I am open to opportunities that would allow me to do STEM outreach or help incoming STEM students feel welcome in college and their fields. I like lifting weights in my free time, and I would love to connect for a chat. Please feel free to reach out to me on any of the socials listed below.
